This most often occurs due to a service outage.

 First check the Service Alerts and Bethesda Support Twitter to make sure the servers are active.

If the servers are up and you are still having connection issues proceed to the troubleshooting steps below:

1. Power cycle your internet and network by restarting your modem and/or router.
   • If you are playing on console, check your platform's server status, perform a hard reset on your console, and test your connection.
     • Xbox: Check Xbox Live Status, if there are no outages, further instructions for Xbox can be found here.
     • PlayStation: Check PlayStation Network Service Status, if there are no outages, further instructions for PlayStation can be found here.
2. Check that the proper exceptions are added to your antivirus/firewall.
3. Forward the game ports. For instructions on how to forward game ports, see your router's instruction manual or manufacturer's website.
