What do I do if I'm not getting the Access Code emails?

  1. Steam/Epic Players: If you have purchased the game through Steam/Epic and have not received the email, make sure you are launching the game through Steam/Epic directly.
  2. Search your email for an email from "noreply@mail.elderscrollsonline.com" and titled "Elder Scrolls Online - Login From Unknown IP Address"
  3. Ensure you have entered your UserID and Password correctly. You will not receive the Access Code email if you enter the wrong credentials.
  4. Add noreply@mail.elderscrollsonline.com to your list of approved email senders.
  5. Check your spam or junk mail folders.
    • If you are using Gmail with the Inbox categories feature, also check your Social and Promotions folders.
  6. Occasionally, due to a system backlog, there may be a delay in delivery of the authorization codes. If you cannot locate the email containing the code, you should wait 10 minutes and request a new access code to be sent.
    • If you are able to log into the website, updating your email address under your account info and a new access code will be sent to you after you attempt to log-in again.
    • If you are unable to change your email successfully, please use this form to request an email change and be sure to include both your current and old email addresses in the description. After verifying your account information, we will change your email address on your ESO account and a new access code will be sent to you after you attempt to log-in again.
  7. If using a firewall or antivirus, please check that you have added ESO64.exe to your antivirus/firewall exception rules and that your firewall has not blocked access through the following ports:
    • TCP / UDP Ports 24100 through 24131
    • TCP / UDP Ports 24300 through 24331
    • TCP / UDP Ports 24500 through 24507

If you still haven't received your access code email after trying the steps above, you should contact customer support using the account recovery page. After making your selections and reaching the form, let us know that you are having issues with your one-time access code in the "Tell us more about your issue" section of the form.

Note: If you get an access code request that you did not request, we would advise updating your password and securing your ESO account.
